Well, I found this to be an interesting debate. Very interested to get your feedback. Probably, as I, you don't find yourself in complete agreement with either. But feel free to leave your comments below.
James White v. David Bernard
By the way, the fact that Bernard denies the Trinity is kind of an elephant in the room. Seems to lend credence to the idea that tongues can be faked by non-Christians.
It was fun to hear him dance around the "no tongues implies you're unsaved..." He was very squeamish.
ReplyDeleteAs one who grew up exposed to Pentecostalism and glossolalia...I know they can be faked...In fact,I'm pretty sure I could fake them...and get an interpreter.
Thanks for your comment, Steve. Yes, Bernard was dancing quite a lot on that question. Blessings
ReplyDeleteBernard was essentially saying that justification is a past event and at the same time a process. Thus contradicting himself.
ReplyDeleteBernard's blatant contradiction: Justification is a past event in a christian's life and at the same time a process. What is it ?
ReplyDeleteBernard won by a long shot that doesn't make him right but he won the debate
ReplyDeleteYou call what bernard was doing dancing but he was asking him to play god
ReplyDeleteAnd say who was and was not saved and bernard just didn't take the bait
It was a loaded question
I am appreciative of the interaction here. I don't have a lot to add. Pentecostals would to better to have a strong Trinitarian advocating their case.
