TONIGHT--Perpetual Film Fest: "Damascus"

Tonight we'll be screening the new film "Damascus" at Trinity International Baptist Mission (at my house).  This Syrian-made film tells the story of Paul from the book of Acts.  Take a look at the trailer below and then join us tonight at 6:30PM at 112 Horizon Circle in Carol Stream, IL (bring your favorite snacks):

TIBM's Perpetual Film Fest: Bella

Last night at Trinity International Baptist Mission (TIBM) we gathered for our monthly installment of the "Perpetual Film Fest".  This month featured the Alejandro Monteverde film Bella.  This dialog-heavy story of brokenness, love, redemption, and new life reminded me of a more morally and spiritually profound Before Sunset. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it. Themes worth noting: adoption/abortion, love, family, cross-cultural communication, and healing.

The TIBM Perpetual Film Fest: "Endgame"

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that TIBM's house church begins our "Perpetual Film Fest" tonight (it will be a monthly thing) with the film "Endgame."  This gives us a nice little South Africa theme as we look towards Cape Town 2010 which will begin soon.  I'm not offering a review of the film at this point.  But if you are interested in one, John Armstrong has provided a nice one here.
